APC UK Chapter Endorses President Tinubu for Second Term, Reaffirms Confidence in Party Leadership

Ahead of the 2027 elections, the United Kingdom Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office.
The UK diaspora chapter also praised the party’s current leadership for steering the APC with discipline, stability, and a clear commitment to democratic values.
The development was contained in letter s addressed to the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and made available to journalists weekend reaffirming unwavering support for the party’s national leadership.
In the first letter, dated May 19, 2025, and signed by APC UK Chairman, Hon. Tunde Doherty, and Secretary, Chief Momoh Obaro, conveyed a vote of confidence in the entire NWC under the chairmanship of His Excellency, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR commending the NWC’s strategic leadership, inclusive decision-making, and efforts to strengthen party unity and internal democracy.
“Our members deliberated extensively on the direction of the party and were unanimous in their resolution to express confidence in the NWC,” the letter stated. “Your strategic guidance has fostered stability within the party and bolstered public confidence in the APC as a vehicle for national development.”
However, the UK Chapter of the party in a second letter, went further to expressing strong support for President Tinubu’s leadership and formally endorsed him for a second term.
The chapter cited the administration’s achievements in infrastructure development, economic stabilization, security reform, and youth empowerment.
“We officially endorse Your Excellency for a second term as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the letter declared, adding that the endorsement will be formally ratified at a major event later this year in the UK, with an invitation extended to the President and the party’s national executives.
The letter also highlighted the President’s bold reforms and proactive diplomacy, which it said have repositioned Nigeria on the global stage
It (Chapter)also pledged to continue supporting the “Renewed Hope” agenda and to play a key role in mobilizing the diaspora community in support of the Tinubu administration and the APC as Nigeria moves toward the 2027 general elections.
According to the correspondences, the event was held in London on Sunday, May 25, 2025, and was attended by the National Secretary of the APC, Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, and the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman, Muhammed Garba as the endorsement letters addressed to the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and President Tinubu were presented to the party’s National Chairman for onward delivery to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the members of the NWC.
