From Abubakar Rabilu, Gombe
- The United Voice of Arewa has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, integrity and collective responsibility as key ingredients for national development.
The organisation made the call during a courtesy visit to the retired Chief Judge of Gombe State, Justice Mu’azu AbdulKadir Pindiga, at his residence in Manawaci, Gombe.
Receiving the delegation, Justice Pindiga commended the group for its vision and objectives, describing its activities as a laudable initiative capable of promoting peace, unity and national development.
The retired Chief Judge urged members to remain united and work collectively in advancing the interests of the country.
He cited the legacies of prominent Northern leaders, particularly the Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, and Nigeria’s former Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, as examples of the achievements that could be realised through unity, cooperation and responsible leadership.
According to him, the two leaders demonstrated a strong sense of commitment and responsibility, contributing significantly to the development of Northern Nigeria and the country at large.
Justice Pindiga also charged Nigerian youths to uphold honesty, integrity and trustworthiness in their personal and professional dealings.
He said adherence to such values would earn them respect and recognition while enabling them to make meaningful contributions to the development of society.
Earlier, the State Coordinator of the United Voice of Arewa, Comrade Umar Muhammad Abdulmuminu, Wamban Nasarawo, thanked Justice Pindiga for receiving the delegation.
He reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to strengthening its activities and promoting peace, unity and national development.
The organisation’s Secretary, Dr Mansur Abdullah Ibrahim, and Women Coordinator, Mallama Maryam Rilwanu, were also part of the delegation, which offered prayers for lasting peace, unity and prosperity in Nigeria.
