Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibril, has on Wednesday distributed 47 cars and 232 machines to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano North.
Barau, who was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdallah, said the items were not meant for sale but to support beneficiaries in building sustainable sources of income.
“This support is not for sale. No one should collect or give any money before receiving it,” he said.
He added that the distribution targeted both serving and former party officials, as well as grassroots members who have remained loyal to the APC.
He further urged beneficiaries and residents to remain loyal to the APC and support the party in future elections.
“We urge everyone to vote APC from top to bottom in 2027,” he said.
Also speaking, Alhaji Shitu Madaki, APC Chairman in Ghari LGA, advised beneficiaries to make good use of the items given to them, stressing the need for self-reliance.
“You should be self reliant. We did not give you these items for you to sell them; they are meant to help you start a business and improve your livelihood,” he said.
Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi called on residents to register with APC.
He noted that party registration is ongoing and urged residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stressing that both steps are key to political participation.
“If you want three things ; Tinubu, Governor Yusuf and Jibril, then you must first do two things: register with the party and get your PVC,” he said.
Earlier, the Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Hajiya Yar Dada Maikano Bichi, expressed appreciation to Senator Barau Jibril for his continued support and empowerment of women across the zone.
She noted that his efforts have positively impacted many women and improved their livelihoods.
“We are grateful for what he has been doing for women. His support has made a real difference in our lives,” she said.
She also reaffirmed the commitment of women in the area to support the APC in future elections.
