Nasir Rabiu Tubless, host of the Rayuwata Talk Show, on Saturday officially handed over the documents for a fully completed house and school to Mallam Murtala Haruna, a blind Qur’anic teacher, at Makole community in Kano State.
The residence and learning facility were built by Mrs. Olubunmi N. Osibanjo, Chief Executive Officer of BNcities, while the 50×50 plot of land was generously provided by Alhaji Ali Nuhu, CEO of Sagama Homes Ltd.
The project traces its roots to an appearance by Mallam Murtala on Tubless’s Rayuwata Talk Show. Despite his blindness, Murtala was teaching Qur’anic education to children in his community on the bare floor of his modest home.
After the interview went viral, many were moved by his dedication and passion. In response, Mrs. Osibanjo pledged to construct a house and school for him, and Sagama Homes subsequently acquired the plot.
During the handover ceremony, members of the community expressed overwhelming joy.
Mallam Murtala Haruna, visibly delighted, offered prayers for all those who contributed to the cause and thanked Tubless for the opportunity to share his story on the Rayuwata Talk Show.
