BREAKING: House of Representatives Approves State of Emergency in Rivers State
The House of Representatives has overwhelmingly approved the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.
The decision followed a letter from President Bola Tinubu requesting the House’s endorsement of the emergency measures in the South-South state.
During a plenary session on Thursday, lawmakers voted in favor of the declaration. Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, confirmed that 240 members were present, ensuring the session met the required quorum.
