Buni’s Education Revolution: Yobe Set for Major Overhaul – Commissioner

In a bold move to transform the education landscape in Yobe State, Governor Mai Mala Buni has directed the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to develop a comprehensive action plan.
According to a statement issued by the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Professor Abba Idris Adam, the Governor’s directive aims to reposition basic and secondary education in the state.
“The action plan includes boosting enrollment, improving infrastructure, teacher recruitment, and promoting inclusive educational development,” Prof. Adam stated.
“Governor Buni’s education reform initiative is expected to address the challenges facing the sector and provide quality education to Yobe State’s children”.
Details of the Action Plan according to him include boosting enrollment through awareness campaigns, renovating and constructing new schools, recruiting 4,000 teachers, Improving teacher training and capacity building.
Others he listed are promoting inclusive education for disadvantaged groups among others.
“This is a significant step towards revitalizing our education sector, We are committed to providing our children with access to quality education.”
The Yobe State Government’s education reform initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the state’s development and future generations.
