Kano state house of assembly (KNHA), says citizens inputs would be considered in the 2023 supplementary budget, and 2024 appropriation bill.
The speaker Kano state house of assembly, Alhaji Isma’il Jibril Falgore, made the indication while recieving a coalition of civil society organizations, at Kano state house of assembly.
Represented by his deputy, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Butu Butu, he said, capturing and including citizens demand is a global practice, that would go a long way in meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the society.
He said Kano house of assembly was committed, to passing laws aimed at uplifting the standards of living among residents.
The speaker, described civil society organizations as major catalysts to the development of the society,as such there was the urgent need to support them, to achieve the desired objectives.
Alhaji Isma’il advised, the coalition to include other committee chairmen, on their engagements such as the interactive session, held between lawmakers and citizen groups.

The acting clerk, Kano state house of assembly,Alhaji Ali Maje described CBOs as partners in progress, that have gone a long way in supporting Kano state.
Earlier in his remarks, a lecturer with the department of economics Dr. Abdulsalam Muhammad Kani pointed out that, they were at Kano state house of assembly, to submit a communique from a two days interactive session.
He stressed that,the communique highlighted key resolutions unanimously adopted, saying that, the quarterly legislative citizens engagement would go a long way in giving them the opportunity to amplify their voices, on education,health and other viable sectors.

The coalition supported by PERL (ECP), consist of members from FIDAC, Hasken Kano/Kano tracker CSACEFA, Equal Access international, Kano Budget working group,coalition of Kano community Based Organizations, among others.
