Danagundi receives petition on misappropriation by former NPC DG
The Director General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Danagundi, has received a petition regarding misappropriation by the former Director General, Dr. Nasir Olaitan Raji Mustapha.
The content of the petition, reviewed by this paper, centers on the misappropriation of 2.5% administrative charges on the staff of the agency, with each staff member receiving a token of 100,000 Naira after filing a bitter complaint.
The petition alleges that Dr. Mustapha was not alone in this misconduct but was supported by the agency’s head of accounts and the Director of Procurement.
Additionally, the petition claims that the former DG purchased old vehicles for the agency despite having approval for new ones.
It further alleges the compromise of an audit report conducted during his tenure as Director General.
A staff member of the agency, who requested anonymity, confirmed to this paper that the current Director General has received the petition but has yet to comment on it.
“Let’s wait until next week to hear from the DG. He received the petition a day after assuming office; it is on his desk,” the source said.
