The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has applauded the Kano State Hisbah Board for its commitment to promoting moral values and tackling social vices across the state.
The Deputy Governor gave the commendation today (Monday) while receiving members of the Board during a courtesy visit to his office.
He acknowledged the Board’s continued support and dedication towards the growth and development of Kano State.
“This visit demonstrates the commitment of the Hisbah Board to addressing issues affecting our communities, and all necessary support will be provided to enable the Board sustain its efforts,” he stated.
Deputy Governor Murtala Garo further assured the delegation of strong collaboration with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in addressing the Board’s requests and advancing its activities.
Speaking earlier, the Commander-General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, congratulated the Deputy Governor, describing him as a long-standing supporter of the Board.

“We remember during your tenure as Local Government Chairman, the Hisbah command under your LGA excelled because of the support and attention it received from you,” Daurawa said.
He also prayed for sustained unity and cooperation between Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the continued development and progress of Kano State.
Daurawa further reminded the state government of some of the Board’s key demands, including the establishment of a Hisbah Training School, salary enhancement, change of uniforms, construction of a befitting headquarters, provision of additional operational vehicles, and increased overhead funding.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Shehi Shehi Mai-Hula, congratulated the Deputy Governor on his appointment, noting that “Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has truly placed a round peg in a round hole.”
He equally prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for the Kano State Government, the people of the state, and the nation at large.
