A Kano based civil society organization popularly known as Movement Against Corruption in Nigeria (MACIN) has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to not allow former government of Kano State Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to use him and sabotage investigation on corruption charges.
In a press conference in Kano Sunday, the coordinator of the program Kabiru Dakata said Tinubu should distance his cabinet from people like Canduje so that the International Community will not tag Nigeria as fantastically corrupt country.
He tasked the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), the Nigerian Immigration Service, and all other relevant agencies to keep the former Governor under watch so as not escape from the country before the investigation.
” This deay tactics he is using will indicate that he is indirectly admitting the allegations that he collected five million dollars bribe but does not want to be investigated.”
“Hiding the image of the brand new administration of H. E Bola Ahmed Tinubu. the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. On this, Ganduje’s political associates have started bragging that they are the owners of the Presidency and nobody can investigate Ganduje” he said.
This also buttresses their long-time praise of Ganduje “Kano ka ci banza Baba”, meaning you ate the loot nothing will happen”.
“Using delay tactics in Court to stop inviting, arresting or or investigating him on the allegations. To actualize this, he already obtained a Cort order, stopping the Kano Anti-Corruption Commission, DSS and Police from arresting or investigate him.”
