A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has advised the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribado, and other top-ranking officials of the Bola Tinubu administration not to be distracted by the attacks of the opposition on them.
Kwankwaso gave the advice in a statement he distributed to Journalists in Kano on Friday.
“Ribadu should remain focused in his task of ensuring the security of lives and property of all Nigerians, so also other officials of the Tinubu administration should concentrate on their assigned tasks.
“They should not be distracted by the attacks targeted at them by some members of the opposition.
“There is no gainsaying that the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is achieving results in his mandate of securing the nation.Under Ribadu’s watch, many places that were no-go areas, are now free, while hundreds of bandits, Boko Haram and other non-state actors are being neutralized and many others have surrendered.
He alleged that members of the opposition including a former Governor of Kano State,Dr Rabi’u Kwankwaso, former Kaduna State Governor,Nasir El-Rufai,and former Governor of Rivers State,Rotimi Amaechi, are not comfortable with the outstanding results Ribado is recording in securing the nation, hence their attacks on him.
“They are not happy because the NSA and other principal officers are making the administration of President Bola Tinubu proud because of their good performance in their respective schedules of duty. This should not worry them at all,”he said.
On the state of the APC in Kano, Kwankwaso said the party is waxing stronger in the state, citing recent gains it recorded.
“Only recently some former Commissioners of the NNPP Government in Kano State were received by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, and this did not go down well with Dr Rabiu Rabi’u Kwankwaso.
“We will continue to receive more members of the NNPP into the APC as we strategize ahead of 2027 when we will recapture power in Kano State,God willing,”he added.
