Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, Technical Adviser to the Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has called for greater collaboration and coordination among key social sector ministries in tackling the challenges facing vulnerable populations in the state.
Dr. Magashi made the appeal during the 2025/2026 Bilateral Budget Meeting between the Kano State Ministry of Budget and Planning and three social sector ministries — the Ministry of Women Affairs, Children and People with Special Needs; the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation; and the Ministry of Youths and Sports.
He emphasized the importance of strategic synergy among the ministries to ensure that interventions targeted at vulnerable groups are well-coordinated and yield sustainable impact.
According to him, improved collaboration will enhance efficiency, avoid duplication of efforts, and strengthen the government’s overall response to humanitarian and poverty-related challenges in Kano State.
