Eid-el-Fitr : Minister Ata Felicitate With Muslims, Calls for Continued Spirit of Ramadan

The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria and beyond.

In a press statement signed by the Minister’s spokesman Adamu Aminu, Ata enjoined Muslims to imbibe the culture of tolerance and the spirit of togetherness.

“I pray that Allah’s benevolent will answer our fasting and grant us the rewards promised in the Holy Quran, ‘The month of Ramadan is that in which the Quran was revealed as guidance for humanity’ (Q2:185)”.

“The holy month has taught us the importance of selflessness, compassion, and generosity. Let us strive to uphold these values beyond Ramadan and promote a more harmonious and peaceful society.”

The Minister, emphasised on the advantages of peace and unity among Nigerians. “As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, let us remember the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence. Let us work together to build a more prosperous and harmonious nation.”

In a related development, Minister Yusuf Abdullahi Ata condemns the brutal killing of 16 northerners in Uromi, Edo State. “I call on the security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice. I also urged the public not to take the law into their hands and allow the security agencies to perform their duties.”

He also prayed for Allah’s mercy on the victims who met their untimely death while traveling from Rivers State to Kano to celebrate Sallah with their families. “May Allah grant them eternal rest and comfort their loved ones.”

As the Muslim community celebrates Eid-el-Kabir, Minister Yusuf Abdullahi Ata wishes them a happy and peaceful celebration. “I wish Muslims in Kano, Nigeria, and across the world a happy Eid-el-Kabir. May this celebration bring us closer to Allah and promote unity and harmony among us.”
