Eid El-Kabir: Speaker Falgore Felicitates with Muslims

The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah as they celebrate this year’s Eid El-Kabir.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Falgore described the festival as a powerful reminder of the values of sacrifice, sharing, and love — virtues exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and upheld by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

He called on Muslims across Kano State, Nigeria, and beyond to embrace the true spirit of Eid by fostering sacrifice, tolerance, and mutual support in line with the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah.

Falgore also used the opportunity to express appreciation to the staff of the Kano State House of Assembly for their dedication and quiet sacrifices. He assured them of continued efforts to improve staff welfare, pledging to align with global best practices in recognizing and rewarding their service.

Commending the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Speaker praised the governor’s dedication to the development of Kano, particularly in the areas of education and human capital development.

Falgore further pledged that the Assembly will continue working closely with the Executive arm of government to deliver quality legislation that enhances the well-being of citizens and builds on the achievements recorded so far under the current administration.

“On behalf of the Honourable Members of the Kano State House of Assembly, I wish all Muslims a joyous and memorable Eid El-Kabir celebration,” the Speaker stated.
