Emir of Kano calls for special prayers to end crises in Niger Republic

Amidst the ongoing conflict in Niger Republic, the Emir of Kano has issued a heartfelt plea for divine intervention to bring an end to the turmoil.

Abubakar Balarabe kofar Naisa, Chief Press Secretary to Kano Emirate Council made the disclosure in statement issued to newsmen.

In a message that resonates with the teachings of Islam, the Emir urged unity, peace, and brotherhood to guide both thoughts and actions during these trying times.

Islamic clerics and Imams have been urged to lead special prayers during Friday congregations on August 11, 2023, seeking peace and tranquility for Niger Republic.

The Emir’s call is a reminder of the importance of harmony and the alleviation of suffering for the citizens caught in the crossfire.

The Emir extended an appeal to the warring factions in Niger Republic, drawing upon the principles of Islam, neighborliness, and shared humanity.

He cited Quranic teachings that encourage believers to make peace between quarreling parties, and invoked the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to emphasize peace, mutual respect, and brotherhood.
