Empowerment:Gov Yusuf Distributes Cash Relief To 5,800 Women,Says Programme Is Continuous

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has distributed N50,000 cash relief each to 5,800 women in continuation of his monthly women’s empowerment and poverty relief programme.
During the event which took place at the Government House,Yusuf said the empowerment programme is to enable the beneficiaries to start their own small businesses towards self reliance.
“This N50,000 being given to each and every one of you is meant to empower you to start small businesses which will make you self reliant so that you will be able to support yourselves and your own families, financially.
“This administration will continue to select women from the 44 local government areas of the state monthly and grant them the sum of N50,000 each as a way of boosting their economic status towards self reliance,” the governor said.
He urged the beneficiaries to continue to support his administration in its efforts to develop the state through its people-oriented programmes including enhanced healthcare,water supply, education, infrastructure and economic empowerment.
He also urged the women to reciprocate the gesture by massively voting for him and all the other All Progressives Congress(APC) candidates during the 2027 general elections, to enable them to continue to provide the people with the dividends of democracy.
Earlier, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi, described the empowerment programme as a very important intervention aimed at enhancing the economic well being of the beneficiaries.
“His Excellency,the Governor,Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, is a very compassionate leader who is always interested in the wellbeing of the people of the state, especially women whom have been immensely benefiting from his life-changing policies and programmes,” Hajiya Amina said.
She urged the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by massively voting for the Governor for a second term during the 2027 general elections,to enable him to continue with the laudable programmes he has been implementing.
The Commissioner also urged the women to cast their votes enmasse for all other APC candidates in the state vying for the Senate,House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly positions,during the polls.
