Federal Fire Service Conducts Fire Safety Training For NDIC Staff In Kano

The Federal Fire Service, Kano Command, under the leadership of the State Controller, Engr. Kazeem Sholadoye, has conducted a fire safety training for staff of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Kano Office, Hotoro G.R.A., Kano.
This is contained in a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer,Al-Hassan Ahmad Kantin.
Kantin said the training was facilitated by ASF Bello Jimoh and IF Salisu Musa as part of efforts to strengthen fire safety awareness and emergency preparedness in workplaces.
During the exercise, he said,participants were educated on common causes of fire outbreaks in office environments, fire prevention measures, proper use of fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation procedures, and the importance of prompt response during fire incidents.
According to the spokesman,practical demonstrations on the use of fire extinguishers were also conducted during the exercise.
He said the officers emphasized the need for regular servicing of fire extinguishers, proper use of fire alarm systems, and timely contact with professional emergency responders during emergencies.
The management of the organisation thanked the Federal Fire Service for the sensitisation programme and expressed willingness to collaborate on future fire safety trainings for their staff, the statement added.
