Dr. Goje explained that the donation is part of the government’s efforts to alleviate hardship in the state. The donation includes 30,000 bags of rice and 60,000 bags of sorghum and maize.
He commended the federal government for its ongoing support in aiding the state government’s poverty alleviation efforts.
“The state government has been working tirelessly to provide support to its citizens, and the federal government’s donation is a welcome addition to these efforts,” Dr. Goje said.
He added that the grains had been distributed to the poorest residents across the state’s 17 local government areas.
