Former APC National Chairman Ganduje mourns demise of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi

The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has received with shock the news of the passing of the distinguished Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, the former APC Chairman described Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi as a towering religious figure whose lifelong devotion to the propagation of Islamic knowledge, peace, and moral guidance has left an enduring legacy in Nigeria and across the global Muslim Ummah.
“His scholarship, humility, and steadfast commitment to righteousness earned him admiration across religious, political, and cultural divides.”
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the Bauchi Emirate, the Bauchi State Government. the Sheikh’s immediate family, his numerous students around the world, and the entire Tijjaniyya community.
Ganduje acknowledged the magnitude of the loss, he noted that the Sheikh’s teachings, principles, and exemplary life will continue to illuminate and inspire generations to come.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the Sheikh’s shortcomings, grant him a peaceful repose, and admit him into Aljannatul Firdaus.
Nigeria, he added, has lost a spiritual pillar whose voice of moderation, wisdom, and unity will be greatly missed.
