Former Commandant Zamfara Anti-thuggery Reprimands Arrest Of Former Secretary

Former Commandant of the Zamfara Anti-Thuggery Agency, Muhammad Bello Bakyasuwa has condemned the arrest of the former Secretary of the agency, Isah Haruna allegedly by the security operatives.
The condemnation was contained in a statement issued by the immediate former Commandant of the Anti-thuggery and made avalanche to newsmen in Gusau Zamfara State capital, saying he learnt that the former Secretary of the agency is currently under Police custody.
He further claimed that, “I believe his arrest is political motivated to play nasty game against the immediate past leadership of the Anti-Thuggery Agency, let me use this medium to condemn the illegal arrest of the innocent former Secretary, Isah Haruna.
“I worked with Isah Haruna, I can testify to the best of my knowledge, his positive contributions in managing the agency towards restoring peace and stability in the state.
He is sincerely patriotic, hardworking and transparent person who contributed immensely for all the successes recorded by the agency especially in sanitizing legitimate livings in Gusau and other parts of the state against political thuggery and other criminal activities.
“The agency was duly established by the law under the immediate past administration with a view to maintain peace and stability in the state, this is no doubt and every citizens of Zamfara can testify this.
“I know, I am the next target and this may have connection with my recent media interviews condemning the escalating security situation in the state.
“As Zamfara Indigene, I always have my mother state at heart, and I will continue to speak on the challenges faced by people of the state.
“Zamfara which constitutionally governed by the elected officials, and a state that produced a Minister of Defence, but has become epic center of banditry activities in the whole North West” Bakyasuwa has cried.
He however appealed to the state Commissioner of Police to immediately order for the release of the innocent Isah Haruna.
