A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Malam Dr. Adamu Fika (Wazirin Fika) is dead.
He died on Tuesday night at the age of 90 while being flown back home from the United Kingdom, where he had gone for medical treatment.
The Acting Secretary, Fika Emirate Council, Potiskum, Ali Gimba Fika, said the former SGF would be buried at the Sultan Bello, Kaduna around 4pm Wednesday.
Late Malam Adamu Fika, who was born in Fika, present-day Yobe State in 1933, had an illustrious civil service career. He later served as the Pro-chancellor and chairman of the Governing Council of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria.
He was also the chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF).
