Ganduje’s Administration Achieves Kiru Modern Almajiri Boarding School

First in the history of Kano state in bridging the gap of Education for the Almajiri. There is no doubt that, under Ganduje 2022 administration cheered and fulfilled promises made on Education for the Almajiri children with standard and modernized equipments.

The Administration of Former Kano state Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje vowed to establish modern boarding schools for Almajiri children in Kiru Ungogo, Ganduje, and Doguwa Town.

The Newly yet commissioned project which was reported, has conducive and enabled environments for Almajiri students to acquire Western and Islamic knowledge. This will change many narratives of the Almajiri children in having accessibility to standard education in the state.

Prime Time Newspaper findings revealed that, Kiru Almajiri Boarding School has Adequate Classes, an Administrative block, Hostels for males & females, a Kitchen, a Library, a Sports arena.

In addition, ICT & laboratories, water system, clinic, electricity, Road network, Fence, Laundry, and staff quarters.

According to Punch newspaper in 2022, Ganduje administration established 3 Tsangaya schools for integration of the Almajiri system of Education into Western education In the state.

Our source added that the same schools are ongoing at Ungogo, Doguwa, and Ganduje towns with much concern since the commencement of the project.

The Almajiri boarding schools in Kano will not only be a political project but a sustainable development for acquiring Islamic and Western Education for life change to Almajiri children, says Yahya Lawal.
