Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Saturday attended the wedding fatiha of Rabiu Sale Kausani and Aisha Aminu Sabo, where he served as Wakili (representative) of the groom.
The marriage ceremony, conducted in accordance with Islamic rites, took place at the palace of the District Head of Chinkani, Alhaji Abdulqadir Bello, in Chinkani, Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The district head also served as the Waliyyi (guardian) of the bride, Aisha.
The groom, Rabiu, is the son of Hon. Saleh Kausani Wudil, a former Commissioner for Transport in Kano State.
During the ceremony, a dowry of N200,000 was paid to solemnise the union, as family members, friends, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate and offer prayers for a successful and prosperous marriage.
Deputy Governor Garo congratulated both families and prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the newlywed couple.
He also emphasized the holiness of marriage, urging the couple to uphold values of love, tolerance, and responsibility in building their new home.
