Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Friday attended the Janazah prayer for a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Alhaji Hamza Usman Darma, who passed away earlier in the day.
The funeral prayer was held at Bulama Mosque, Hotoro Kano, where the Deputy Governor joined family members, political associates, community leaders and other mourners in paying their final respects to the deceased.
Alhaji Darma was a prominent figure in the APC in Kano and was known for his contributions to the party in the state.
He was later laid to rest at the Abattoir Cemetery, Dala LGA, Kano following the Janazah prayer.
Earlier, the Deputy Governor attended the wedding Fatiha of Mubarak Ibrahim Kabo and his bride, Sa’adatu Sabiu Aliyu, held in Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State.
At the ceremony, Garo served as the Wakili (representative) of the groom, Mubarak Ibrahim Kabo, on a dowry of N100,000.
The Deputy Governor also paid a condolence visit to the family of Alhaji Usman Sarkin Kasuwa, who recently passed away, praying for Allah to forgive the deceased and grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Garo also prayed for Allah to forgive Alhaji Hamza Usman Darma, grant him Aljanna Firdaus and comfort his family, friends and associates.
