Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Saturday represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the Wedding Fatiha of Aliyu Lawan, the Majidaɗin Dambatta, and his bride, Masturah Aminu Baba.
The marriage held at Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Juma’at Mosque, Kofar Mata, Kano, was solemnized by the Chief Imam of the mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Nasir Adam.
Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, served as the groom’s representative (Wakili), while Alhaji Hassan Baba stood as the bride’s guardian during the ceremony.
The Deputy Governor prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the union, asking Him to grant the couple a peaceful, loving and enduring marriage filled with happiness, prosperity and abundant reasons to remain grateful.
The event attracted family members, friends, associates, traditional rulers, business leaders, political figures and other well-wishers who gathered to celebrate with the newly married couple.
Among notable dignitaries at the ceremony were former Secretary to the Kano State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji; former Senator representing Kano North Senatorial District, Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo; and former Permanent Secretary in the Federal Government, Alhaji Nu’uman Barau.
