The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Friday attended and served as representative (Wakili) at the wedding Fatiha of Mutawakkil Sani Dawaki Gabasawa and his wife, Khadija Ibrahim Abdullahi.
The solemnization, held at the Usman bn Affan Mosque in Gadon Kaya, was conducted in line with Islamic rites.
The groom, Mutawakkil, is the son of the late Sani Dawaki Gabasawa, former District Head of Gabasawa Local Government Area.
During the ceremony, a dowry of N200,000 was paid to seal the union, as family members, friends, associates and well-wishers gathered to witness the occasion and offer prayers for a peaceful and prosperous marriage.
The Deputy Governor congratulated both families and prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the newly married couple.
He also emphasized the sanctity of marriage as an institution, urging the couple to uphold the values of love, tolerance, and responsibility in their new home.
