Gov. Abba vows to boost industrialization, energy, climate change efforts in Kano

The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has made a firm commitment to enhance industrialization, energy, security, and climate change initiatives in the state.

This pledge was made during a visit by members of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), who are currently conducting a study tour in Kano.

Represented by his Deputy, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, Governor Abba commended the participants of the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 45 and expressed his anticipation for their report.

He assured them that the state government would diligently implement their findings and recommendations to strengthen the state’s industrialization, energy, security, and climate change efforts.

Leading the delegation, the Director General of NIPSS, Prof. Ayo Omotayo, expressed gratitude to Governor Abba for the warm reception and highlighted their main objective of engaging with key stakeholders involved in industrialization.

“Their focus is on analyzing challenges faced by industries in Kano State, particularly in the areas of power and climate change, and understanding their impact on the lives of ordinary citizens. They aim to develop intervention strategies accordingly” he revealed.

Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the Secretary to the State Government of Kano, expressed appreciation to NIPSS for choosing Kano State as one of the destinations for their study tour.

He assured the delegation of the state government’s support and resources to facilitate their research and ensure the generation of valuable findings for effective implementation.

Franka Nwaneka, a participant from the Immigration Service, thanked the Kano state government and its people for the warm welcome and pledged to utilize their abilities and capacities to produce fruitful results during the study tour.

The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on behalf of the participants, received by his Deputy, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo.
