President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has secured 91.5 per cent of the total votes cast by registered APC members in Yobe State during Saturday’s presidential primary election.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Director General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed.
According to the statement, Governor Mai Mala Buni, who also served as the collation officer for the presidential primary election in the state, announced the results while declaring President Tinubu winner of the exercise.
President Tinubu polled 253,804 votes to defeat Osifo Stanley, who scored zero votes.
Governor Buni described Yobe State as a stronghold of the APC and a second home to President Tinubu.
“Yobe State will deliver 100 per cent of its votes to President Tinubu in the general election to ensure his return for a second term,” Governor Buni assured.
He commended APC supporters for their massive turnout during the exercise, urging them to sustain the momentum in the general election.
“We should reflect this in the general election with full force,” he said.
The governor also praised the peaceful conduct of party members during the primary and described it as a demonstration of loyalty and support for President Tinubu and the APC.
