Gov. Dauda’s witch-hunt against Matawalle, others is a political, uncalled for – APC Youths call for caution

The All Progressives Congress (APC) support group Youth Wing Mobilisation Vanguard has criticized Zamfara state governor, Dauda Lawal of orchestrating a plans to create confusion and set back on the success being recorded in the fight against banditry in the North west, particularly Zamfara state.

The group’s chairman, Alhaji Ashiru Tukur- Sadauki, told the newsmen on Friday they Gov. Lawal in his interview with a television station had displayed a comedy of hatred against the personality of Minister of state defense, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, federal government giant efforts of fighting insecurity, thereby compromising good efforts of President Bola Tinubu on the war against banditry in the region.

Tukur-Sadauki said Lawal has targeted on the Federal government success so far allegedly undermining the military operations in the fight against insecurity in Zamfara state, display immatured acts of ignorance about the successful operations.

” His intention is to destroy our troops morale through propaganda, lies and mischief against those who played important roles in bringing the good efforts to practice s per operation ‘Fansan Yamma’ is concerned.

” There is no reason for the Gov. Lawal to abandon important role as Chief Security officer in the state who is expected to ensure maximum synergy and active participation for safeguarding peoples lives and properties.

” Instead, the governor embarked on media tour in television stations castigating the immediate past governor who is at present substantive Minister State of Defense, on sundry issues that have no effect on the continue military operations against bandits in the region, ” the Chairman said.

Tukur-Sadauki explained that the directive of President Bola Tinubu to Minister of defense and other security chiefs to relocate to Sokoto to ensure flushing of bandits, terrorists, kidnappers and other criminals have sent a signal to Lawal.

He expressed optimism that Gov. Lawal was apprehensive, disorganized and angry about the action that brought issues which were unnecessary in recognition of the motives of operations.

” It is very disheartening to see a Chief security of the state descending so low on bringing issues that are already taken by event in order to seek publicity.

” Therefore, the calling on Minister Matawalle to resign by the governor is much more like a laughing joke, because he was allegedly accused many times before now of sponsoring protests in Abuja to request President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fire Matawalle.

” Playing politics in a present situation that the states faced security challenges demonstrate sabotage to the good efforts of the President Tinubu on his decision to eradicate fear and banditry activities in the North West, ” Tukur-Sadauki added.

While we appreciates the good efforts of the Minister of state defense on the achievement so far recorded in the fight against banditry, we advised him not to join issues with Gov. Lawal for now so as not to digress from a good cause initiated towards successful operations of the armed forces against bandits.
