Gov Yusuf Flags Off Distribution Of School Furniture to 44 LGAs

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has flagged off the distribution of over 50,000 furniture to primary schools across the 44 local government areas of the state.
Launching the distribution exercise in Kano, Yusuf said the measure is part of his administration’s efforts to improve standard of teaching and learning in primary schools in the state.
He also said that the gesture was in fulfillment of his promise to revamp the education sector as contained in his policy documents on the State of Emergency on the sector.
He reiterated the determination of his administration to ensure that every child in the state has the opportunity to learn in a conducive atmosphere that allows them to focus and grow their dreams, as contained in his campaign promises.
“The desks we are distributing today represent a significant stride toward addressing challenges in the education sector, providing our students with the comfort and dignity they deserve.
“This initiative is not merely about providing furniture, it is about restoring confidence and hope in the hearts of the students.
“The desks have been carefully designed for durability and comfort to serve not only the students of today but also future generations who will pass through our schools,” the governor said.
He urged all stakeholders to join hands in ensuring that the furniture are well-maintained and the schools are treated as centers of excellence.
In his remarks the State Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Haruna Doguwa, said the governor’s positive initiatives on education is gradually clearing the decay in the sector inherited from the immediate past administration in the state.
Haruna informed the governor that the furniture would be evenly distributed to the schools to make learning easy and better for the students.
