Governor Mutfwang Parley Plateau Journalists assures of reverb Agriculture

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, says Agriculture remained the backbone of his administration as a result, the Sector has been restructured in to two ministry, Agriculture and live stock development.

The governor was speaking in an interactive section with Journalists at the Little Rayfield government house in Jos, said to stabilize market, he introduced a world Bank which is Ram supported project, and has established market in Jingir, Mangu and Shendam with neighborhood market like the one in Bukuru and to be replicated across communities.

He says the Potato value chain has been prioritize and branded as Plateau potato with plans to have a tissue laboratory in collaboration with African Development Bank to speed production.

Governor Mutfwang announced says plans are underway to revive the Jos abattoir with a target of slaughtering five hundred cows daily to boast meat production and hygiene standard.

He informed the Journalists that state is working in collaboration with the federal government to revitalize the livestock sector.

Other sectors of the economy significantly receiving attention according to the Governor are the health and hospitality sector where hug turn around has been experienced.

The state Chairman of Nigerian Union Journalists, Ayuku Pwaspo, thank Governor Mutfwang for hosting the Journalists and assured him of continued support through reportage for the development of the state.

Commissioner of information Joyce Ramnap who led other Commissioners, heads of media establishment and Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor Gyang Bere, appreciated the governor for the opportunity and Journalists for their utmost support to the state.
