Ibrahim El-Mu’azzam: The first young Northern Nigerian preaching in French
Ibrahim El-Mu’azzam, a young man from Zaria in Kaduna State, is making history by delivering Islamic lectures in French in Togo.
He is the first Nigerian, particularly from Northern Nigeria and of Hausa ethnicity, to achieve such at a young age of 23.
Before this, El-Mu’azzam had already made history as the first Nigerian to publish a book in Togo.
After completing his Bachelor’s degree in 2023, he authored a book titled Introduction to Computer Science and Engineering, which was launched at his university.
Recognizing his academic excellence, the university awarded him a full scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree.
Even before completing his degree in Computer Engineering, El-Mu’azzam was the first person to deliver Islamic sermons in Hausa at the Jumu’ah Mosque in Hedjranawoe, Lomé, Togo.
However, due to the high number of non-Hausa-speaking attendees, he decided to learn French.
With dedication and divine support, he mastered the language in less than a year and began preaching in it.
In addition to his lectures, El-Mu’azzam runs a foundation called El-Mu’azzam Foundation, which is active on Facebook
Through this platform, he organizes various programs, especially during the sacred month of Ramadan.
This year, his programs include Daily Reminders in English and French, a long-running series on the History of the Prophets, which he shares on his social media pages and YouTube channel, El-Mu’azzam TV.
Furthermore, in 2024, El-Mu’azzam achieved a remarkable milestone by completing 100 certifications in less than a year.
Beyond this, he continues to lead and participate in various initiatives across different fields.
El-Mu’azzam is a writer, scholar, poet, activist, and young Islamic preacher.
