Insecurity: Mazoji Urges FG to Boost Operations of Military, Other Security Aencies

By Abdullahi Muhammad Sheka

Amidst escalating insecurity caused by terrorists and bandits in Katsina State and its environs, Hon. Zaharaddeen Babba Mazoji, an elder of PDP in Nigeria and former senatorial aspirant from Funtua Zone, calls for heightened operations against these threats.

Mazoji highlights the increasing activities of bandits, particularly in Katsina, leading to attacks on personnel, loss of lives, destruction of military assets, and damage to agricultural products.

He urgently calls on President Tinubu to support Governor Radda in his efforts to tackle the security challenges in Katsina State.

Advocating for a more proactive approach, Mazoji emphasizes the importance of synergy among security agencies to eradicate insurgency and other criminal activities in Katsina and other states facing similar security challenges.

He stresses the urgency of these operations, stating, “The safety and well-being of our citizens remain paramount, and decisive action must be taken to curb the menace of terrorism and banditry in our communities.” Especially as the rainy season approaches, there are concerns that bandits might prevent farmers from reaching their farmlands, affecting this year’s harvest.

Mazoji underscores the broader significance of enhanced security, pointing out that it not only safeguards lives and properties but also improves the quality of farming and irrigation. He believes this will ensure food security and economic prosperity for the region.

Emphasizing the need for President Bola Tinubu’s government to tackle insecurity decisively, Mazoji suggests that ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens will garner appreciation and support.

While applauding Governor Umar Dikko Radda for his commitment and efforts in tackling insecurity and banditry, Mazoji encourages him to continue implementing effective policies and programs that others can emulate.

He calls for cooperation from all stakeholders, urging communities to support security agencies in their efforts to rid the region of criminal elements in Katsina State and its environs.
