The wife of Jigawa state governor, Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi has promised to increase more support to girls child education in the state.
The first lady gave the assurance while delivering her speech to mark the International Day of girl child held at Kudai Primary and junior secondary school.
Hajiya Hadiza who was represented by the Commissioner for women affair and social development Hajiya Hadiza Abdulwahab said, the day remain the general public of the credible potential our girls possess and how their dreams and aspirations can shape the future of Jigawa and Nigeria at whole.
“We are blessed with resilient, intelligent and ambitious girls who continue to break barriers despite the challenges they faces, these girls envision a future where they are leaders in their Communities, excelling in education, contributing to economic growth, and taking bold strides in all areas of life.
“The girls gathered here today are the future future of this state and your dreams matters, you have the power to shape your own future and future of Jigawa state, I encourage you to remain focused, work hard, and never give up on your vision”, the first lady stated.
She maintained that, this vision aligns perfectly with committinent of Jigawa state government under the leadership of Malam Umar Namadi to uplift the standard of education especially for the girl child.
According to her, under the present administration several impactful initiatives have been launched to support and empower girls, including free school uniforms, increasing finding for school feeding program with aims to ensure girls are well nourished and ready to focus on their studies.
She then assured to them that, the state government, families and communities are always ready to support them in every step of the way to achieve their dreams.
