Jalingo Local Government Chairman Launches Free JAMB Scheme for 300 Indigenes
The Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Area in Taraba State, Hon. Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan, who also serves as the State ALGON Chairman, has launched a free JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) scheme for 300 indigenes of Jalingo.
This initiative is aimed at providing opportunities for young people in the area to further their education and secure a brighter future.
Speaking on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Jalingo, the administrative headquarters of Taraba State, Dr. Hassan emphasized that the initiative is in support of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas’s educational reforms and efforts to raise the educational standards of the region.
Dr. Hassan highlighted that candidates must be indigenes of Jalingo Local Government and meet the five-credit requirement for JAMB.
Additionally, candidates are required to provide a profile code for identification during the application process.
In his remarks, the chairman commended the commitment of key stakeholders in the education sector in Jalingo, noting their alignment with Governor Agbu Kefas’s free education policy aimed at advancing the area’s educational development.
This initiative is expected to provide critical support for students in Jalingo, helping to break down financial barriers to education and offering a pathway for more youth to pursue higher education.
