Jigawa College of Legal Education, Ringim, Gets New Provost

Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has approved the appointment of Dr. Jummai Ali Kazaure as the new Provost of the College of Education, Legal, and Islamic Studies, Ringim.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
Until her appointment, Dr. Jummai was a lecturer at the Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel. She holds a Ph.D. in Administration and Planning and has extensive teaching experience across all levels of education, from basic to tertiary. She is widely recognized for her expertise in academic supervision and interdisciplinary collaboration.
“Dr. Jummai has previously served as Director at the Government Girls State Unity Secondary School, Kazaure, and the Government Arabic Secondary School, Babura. Her dedication to academic leadership and community service is well known,” the SSG stated.
In a related development, Governor Namadi also approved the appointment of Hassan Nayaya as the new Executive Secretary of the Jigawa State Education Resources Agency (JERA).
“Before assuming this position, Nayaya served as the Acting Executive Secretary of the agency. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Bayero University Kano in 2000. His career in the Jigawa State Ministry of Education began in 1992 as a classroom teacher, and he rose to the rank of substantive Director (GL 16) in 2020,” the statement added.
Malam Bala Ibrahim noted that these appointments reflect the Governor’s commitment to strengthening educational leadership and infrastructure in Jigawa State.
The statement further emphasized that the appointments were based on merit, competence, and personal integrity.
“While congratulating the appointees, it is hoped that they will work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in them and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state,” it concluded.
