Jigawa State Government Holds Two-Day Retreat on Innovation and Leadership
The Jigawa State Government commenced a two-day retreat aimed at enhancing governance and fostering innovation among top government officials. The retreat, themed “Ascending the Peak – Achieving Greater Jigawa Through Innovation and Leadership,” is taking place at the International Conference Centre in Gombe.
Declaring the event open, the Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, commended Jigawa State’s commitment to development and expressed his willingness to collaborate on best practices for good governance.
He also shared insights from Gombe’s developmental strides, encouraging cross-state learning for improved public service delivery.
In his keynote address, Governor Malam Umar Namadi reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing Jigawa State through his 12-Point Agenda for Development.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration among government officials to drive progress and improve citizens’ lives. Key areas of focus include job creation for youth, particularly in agriculture, small businesses, and technology through the J-Recruitment Program.
Governor Namadi urged participants to maximize the opportunity presented by the retreat, encouraging them to generate actionable solutions and renew their commitment to the state’s growth.
The retreat features discussions on enhancing government efficiency and improving public services through technology. Experts and policymakers will engage in sessions designed to explore innovative strategies for governance, with the goal of making Jigawa a model for development in Nigeria.
