Kano CP Visits NSCDC, Seeks Stronger Collaboration for Security
The newly deployed Commissioner of Police in Kano State, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has called for greater collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to enhance security and maintain peace in the state.
CP Bakori made the call during a courtesy visit to the NSCDC Kano State Command headquarters, where he met with the State Commandant, Comdt Shafi’u Abdulmumini. He emphasized the importance of sustaining the existing synergy between the two agencies, describing the Police and Civil Defence as “two sides of the same coin” that must work together for effective security operations.

“Wherever I have worked, I have always enjoyed a harmonious relationship with the NSCDC. I am here to extend my hand of fellowship and seek continued cooperation for the safety and stability of Kano State,” CP Bakori stated.
In response, Comdt Shafi’u Abdulmumini welcomed the Police Commissioner and conveyed the appreciation of the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for the Police Force’s support. He assured CP Bakori of the Corps’ commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration, noting that the prevailing security challenges in Kano and across the country require joint efforts.
“The Police are our senior colleagues, and working together is the key to addressing security threats effectively. We will continue to foster cooperation for the greater good of the state and the nation,” Comdt Shafi’u assured.
The visit featured a quarter guard parade in honor of CP Bakori, as well as the presentation of a souvenir to the NSCDC State Commandant by the newly posted Police Commissioner.
