The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, marked his 65th birthday anniversary in his hometown of Gwarzo with a series of activities centered on community development, philanthropy, and thanksgiving.
As part of the celebration, the Deputy Governor visid his hometown Gwarzo, on Friday where he distributed educational materials, including books, chalks, dusters, uniforms, and Islamic books, to students across various schools in the community, encouraging them to pursue academic excellence and moral discipline.
A special prayer session was held in his honor at the Gwarzo Central Mosque, where over 100 Islamic scholars (Ulamas) offered prayers for his well-being, long life, and continued success in serving Kano State.

Present at the prayer session were the Chairman of the NNPP in Kano State, Hon. Hashimu Dungurawa; Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Sunusi Surajo Kwankwaso; chairmen of various local government areas; and other top government officials and well-wishers, all of whom took turns offering prayers and goodwill messages for the Deputy Governor.
The Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government, Dr. Mani Tsoho, who hosted the event, commended the Deputy Governor for his exemplary leadership and dedication to public service, while praying for divine blessings upon him.
As part of the celebration, Comrade Gwarzo visited his alma mater, Gwarzo Model Primary School, where he graduated 53 years ago. The visit provided an emotional reunion with his classmates from the 1972 set.
He also extended support to widows and the less privileged, reaffirming his lifelong commitment to humanitarian service.

In continuation of the day’s events, the Deputy Governor paid homage to the District Head of Gwarzo Local Government, Alhaji Bello Abubakar, who prayed for his good health and success.
The traditional ruler also used the occasion to present some developmental requests from the local government, to which the Deputy Governor pledged prompt attention and necessary interventions.

To conclude the day’s activities, the Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government, Dr. Mani Tsoho, hosted the Deputy Governor and his entourage to a feast at the Local Government Secretariat, where guests celebrated the milestone with joy and gratitude.
In his remarks, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo expressed appreciation for the prayers, love, and goodwill shown to him, promising to remain steadfast in contributing to the growth and prosperity of Gwarzo, Kano State, and Nigeria at large.
