Kano Deputy Governor Attends Wedding of Ex-Information Commissioner’s Daughter

Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, attended the wedding of Fatima Halilu Dantiye, daughter of former Commissioner for Information in the State, Baba Halilu Dantiye, and her husband, Auwal Bazalla Kassim, on Sunday.
The ceremony, held at Kundila Central Mosque, saw the Deputy Governor serving as Fatima’s waliyyi. A dowry of N100,000 was paid in accordance with Islamic traditions.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Governor congratulated the couple and offered motivational words, urging them to build their marriage on mutual respect, understanding, and the fear of Allah.
“Marriage is a beautiful union that requires love, patience, and dedication. I encourage you both to be each other’s source of strength and always seek Allah’s guidance in your journey together. May your home be filled with peace and blessings,” he said.
Dignitaries, family members, and friends graced the event to celebrate the union, which highlighted the strong ties between the political and social circles in Kano State.
Notable dignitaries at the wedding fatiha includes: Baba Dantiye’s successor Comrade Ibrahim Wayya and two of his predecessors Malam Mohammed Garba and Hon. Salahuddeen Na’ibi Wali.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for a blessed and harmonious marriage for the couple.
