Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Friday represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the wedding ceremony of Ahmad Yusuf Ahmad Badau and his bride, Ramlat Rabiu Hassan.
The wedding, which took place at Jami’ur Rahman Juma’at Mosque in Kundila, Tarauni Local Government Area, was officiated by the Chief Imam of the mosque, Professor Salisu Shehu as family members, friends and well-wishers gathered to witness the solemnization of the marriage.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Governor formally received the bride, Ramlat Rabiu Hassan, on behalf of the groom, Ahmad Yusuf Ahmad Badau, following the payment of a dowry of N500,000.
He offered prayers for a peaceful, successful and enduring union.
Garo also advised the couple to build their home on the principles of the fear of Allah, mutual respect, understanding and patience.
Similarly, the Deputy Governor attended another wedding ceremony held at Aliyu Ibn Abi Talib Juma’at Mosque.

In a related development, the Deputy Governor paid a condolence visit to Hon. Umar Maiwayo who lost his father on Wednesday night after a prolonged illness at the age of 80.
During the visit, Deputy Governor Garo prayed for repose of the deceased’s soul and asked Allah to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
