Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Friday joined family members, friends and well-wishers at the wedding Fatiha of Rabi’atu Rilwanu Idris Malikawa and Ibrahim Abdulhamid in Bichi Local Government Area of the state.
The wedding Fatiha was held at the Malikawa Garu Central Mosque shortly after Friday prayer, with the bride’s father, Alhaji Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu, a renowned journalist and Public Relations Officer (PRO), Office of the Deputy Governor, hosting guests at the ceremony.
Alhaji Malikawa Garu, who is also the District Head of Malikawa Garu, was joined by relatives, colleagues, community leaders and prominent personalities from different walks of life to witness the marriage of his daughter.
The Deputy Governor was represented at the occasion by his Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Bashir Ado Gaya, who conveyed Garo’s congratulations and goodwill to the couple and their families.
Gaya prayed Almighty Allah to bless the marriage with peace, understanding and lasting happiness, while wishing the newlyweds a prosperous and fulfilling marital life.
The marriage was solemnised with a dowry of N150,000 and in accordance with Islamic rites.
Other members of the Deputy Governor’s delegation included the Director of Administration and General Services, Alhaji Umar Sidi; Accountant, Alhaji Bashir Bello; Director, Special Assignment, Alhaji Shittu Magaji Karaye; Malam Aminu Kassim, alongside other officials and staff.
The ceremony attracted dignitaries, family members, friends and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the union and offer prayers for the couple.
