Kano Guber Case: NAKSS Denies Endorsing APC, Demands Supreme Court Uphold Justice

The National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS) has refuted claims of endorsing the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the ongoing gubernatorial election dispute before the Supreme Court.

In a statement released on Wednesday evening, the NAKSS executive committee dissociated itself from a purported endorsement statement issued by Students Union leader, Yahaya Usman Kabo.

The association emphasized its non-partisan stance and urged the Supreme Court to prioritise justice in the case.

“We categorically disown the statement credited to Yahaya Usman Kabo endorsing a political party on the ongoing gubernatorial dispute”

“NAKSS remains a non-partisan organization, and our sole interest lies in upholding justice. We call upon the Supreme Court to deliver a fair and just verdict in this case, regardless of political affiliations” the statement declared.

The statement comes as the Supreme Court prepares to hear an appeal filed by the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) on Thursday, December 21st.

The NNPP is challenging the Court of Appeal’s decision upholding the Kano State Election Petitions Tribunal judgment that sacked Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of the APC.
