Kano NDC Bigwig Danga Rejects APC’s Reception Of 136,000 NDC Decampees,Says Figure Untrue

A stalwart of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in Kano State, Alhaji Umar Labaran Danga, has dismissed the recent reception of 136,000 members of the NDC into the APC,describing the figure as untrue.
Danga told Prime Time News Hausa that the actual number of the NDC decampees received by the APC was 50, and not 136,000 as claimed by the party.
“The recent claim by the APC that it received 136,000 decampee members of the NDC is totally untrue; the number of people that they actually received was not more than 50.So,the figure they circulated was false,” he said.
He also stated that most of those that defected to the APC were actually members of the party before, but moved to the NDC in search of greener pastures, but that having realized that they could not accomplish their ambition in the NDC, they now returned to the APC.
The NDC bigwig also stated that the APC reception event which held at the Sani Abacha Stadium was actually organized by Hon.Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, and not the Kano State Government, although Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf showed up at the occasion.
“The gathering was actually organized by Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, and not the Kano State Government,because you could see Baffa’s support groups all over the place raising their flags,” he said.
He, therefore, stated that the NDC is not worried about the event as the party remains focused,waxes stronger and resolute in its drive for change for a better Kano State and Nigeria.
