Kano NIPR Doff Hat to Gov. Abba Kabir for Initiating Elders Forum

…Felicitates his court victory

Kano state chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for setting up an elders consultative forum made up of past governors.

The chapter noted that the move is pragmatic and strategic towards an all-inclusive administration aimed at ensuring harmony within the state, believing that other states will follow suit.

While congratulating him on his victory at the Supreme  Court, the chapter described the victory as the Will of Allah, the Almighty.

In a statement issued by the state chairman of the institute, Aliyu Yusuf which was made available to newsmen, noted that such victory from the  Apex Court has proven that the election of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was a credible one, hoping that he will rededicate himself towards selfless stewardship to the people of the state for maximum performance.

The institute, while further urging the Governor to continue with his infrastructural development in the state, prayed for him to initiate and execute more Projects, policies and programmes that would move the state to greater heights.

It also expressed its appreciation for the professionalism exhibited by the Governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Ahmad  Bature Dawakin Tofa who is also a member of the institute during the courts proceedings, urging him to sustain the tempo in the discharge of his responsibilities.

It however, appealed to the Governor to device means of ensuring the registration of spokespersons across all Ministries, Departments and Agencies with the  institute, so as to make them certified Public Relations (PR) practitioners ,thereby preventing them from apprehension as quacks.
