The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced an approved fare of ₦7,672,822 for intending pilgrims from the state for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
The Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, disclosed this following the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and consultations on the approved 2027 Hajj fare.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Comrade Sulaiman Dederi, and made available to newsmen revealed that that Matawalle said the approved fare applies to all intending pilgrims from Kano State, urging them to ensure timely completion of their payments to secure their Hajj seats.
He also disclosed that passport uploading would continue until the payment deadline, stressing that intending pilgrims should submit their passports even before completing their balance payments to facilitate timely uploading and processing of their passport details.
According to him, pilgrims who have already paid ₦7 million are required to pay a balance of ₦672,822, while those making fresh payments are expected to pay the full approved fare of ₦7,672,822.
The Director-General announced August 31, 2026 as the deadline for payment, in line with the directive of NAHCON.
He therefore urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments before the deadline to avoid losing their Hajj seats.
