Kano Speaker Falgore Felicitates Muslims on Eid-Maulud
The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended his goodwill message to Muslims in Kano State and across the country as they celebrate this year’s Eid-Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, on Friday, Falgore said the legislative arm of the state identifies with the joy of the Muslim ummah and wishes the faithful a peaceful and joyous celebration.
He described Eid-Maulud as a season of love, reflection, and remembrance of the Prophet, urging Muslims to embrace tolerance, extend support to the needy, and strictly adhere to the teachings of Islam as enshrined in the Qur’an and the Prophet’s traditions.
Falgore also reaffirmed the commitment of the Assembly to enacting laws that would strengthen Islamic institutions such as the Hisbah, Zakka Commission, and Shura Council, stressing that their legislative activities remain focused on improving the welfare of citizens.
“On behalf of the entire honourable members of the Kano State House of Assembly, I celebrate and extend well wishes to all of you,” the Speaker said.
