In furtherance of its mandate to enhance and sustain effective security across Kano State, the Kano State Neighborhood Watch Security Agency, Kumbotso Command, has commenced the construction of a Division Headquarters and strategic Outposts within the area.
Yusuf Abubakar Ibrahim Anipr, Director Public Enlightenment of the Agency disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen today.
According to Yusuf, the Commander of the Kumbotso Command, Isa Sulaiman, disclosed this while monitoring the ongoing construction works at the Division Headquarters located at Shagari Quarters Football Field, as well as Outposts at 21 Street, Shagari Quarters, and Na’ibawa opposite Family Home.
Commander Isa Sulaiman reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Kano State Neighborhood Watch Security Corps to curb insecurity and promote lasting peace and stability across the State.
He emphasized that the establishment of these facilities will significantly improve operational efficiency, rapid response, and community-based security in Kumbotso Local Government Area.
He called on residents of Kumbotso to continue to extend their maximum support and cooperation to the Corps, stressing that the Neighborhood Watch Security Corps is a professional security outfit, established to complement conventional security agencies in safeguarding lives and property, and not a group of thugs as often misconceived.
The Commander expressed profound appreciation to the Commander General, Kano State Neighborhood Watch Security Agency, Lt. Col. Aminu Yusuf Abdulmalik (Rtd.) for his unwavering support and leadership, which he said has been instrumental in the successful execution of security initiatives across the State.
In his remarks, Hon. Musa Talo, Sarkin Matasan Arewa, commended the Kumbotso Commander for his tireless efforts in ensuring effective security within the Local Government Area.
He also applauded the Kano State Government for establishing the Neighborhood Watch Security Agency, describing it as a timely and people-oriented initiative that has greatly enhanced grassroots security.
The Kano State Neighborhood Watch Security Agency remains committed to working closely with communities and stakeholders to ensure a safer and more peaceful Kano State.
