Kano State Police to conduct shooting range practice in Hawan Kalibawa

The Kano State Police Command has announced that personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, Kano State Command, will be engaging in a one-day shooting range practice.

The practice is set to take place at Hawan Kalibawa, located in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State on Thursday, August 31st, 2023. The exercise will be conducted from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

This was contained in a statement released by the PPRO of the Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

Kiyawa disclosed that residents, particularly those residing in villages such as Dambazau, Gangaren Dutse, Tumfafi, Kakurum, and Dandalama within the Dawakin Tofa/Ungogo LGAs and surrounding areas, are advised to stay away from the designated area during the specified time frame.

“The public is urged not to be alarmed by the sound of gunfire, as it is part of the scheduled training exercise” the PPRO warned

He further disclosed that Commissioner of Police CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel expressed his gratitude to the citizens of Kano State for their understanding, prayers, continuous support, and cooperation.
