The Emir of Karaye, His Highness Alhaji Muhammad Maharaz, has congratulated the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on his assumption of office as the state’s Deputy Governor.
The Emir, who is currently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia performing the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage, conveyed his congratulatory message through a delegation that visited Office of the Deputy Governor today Monday from the Karaye Emirate Council led by Senior Councillor of the Emirate, Alhaji Balarabe Surajo, Wamban Karaye
Speaking during the visit, leader of the delegation noted that the relationship between the Karaye Emirate and Garo town is longstanding, cordial, and built on mutual respect and understanding.
He conveyed the Emir’s prayers and best wishes for the Deputy Governor, expressing confidence in his ability to contribute meaningfully to the development and progress of Kano State in his new capacity.
They also commended the Deputy Governor for maintaining strong ties with traditional institutions.
In his response, Kano State Deputy Governor Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo expressed appreciation to the Emir for the congratulatory message and goodwill.
He thanked the delegation for the visit and described the Emir as a respected traditional ruler whose guidance and prayers remain invaluable.
The Deputy Governor further expressed satisfaction with the visit and prayed for the successful completion of the Emir’s Hajj exercise and wished him and entire Nigerian pilgrims safe return back to the country.
